Energy Savings Calculator for HVAC

This calculator helps you estimate potential energy and cost savings when upgrading your HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system to a more efficient one. By inputting key parameters, you can compare the energy consumption and associated costs of your current HVAC system with a new, more efficient system. This can guide you in making informed decisions about energy-efficient upgrades that may lead to substantial savings.

Parameters:

  • Hours of Operation per Day: Enter the average number of hours your HVAC system operates each day. This reflects the daily usage of your system.
  • Old HVAC System Efficiency (%): Input the efficiency of your current HVAC system as a percentage. For example, if your old system has an efficiency rating of 70%, enter "70".
  • New HVAC System Efficiency (%): Specify the efficiency of the new HVAC system you are considering. Enter this value as a percentage. For instance, if the new system is expected to be 90% efficient, enter "90".
  • Electricity Cost per kWh ($): Enter the cost of electricity per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in your local currency. This value is essential for estimating cost savings.

How to Use:

  • Fill in the values for each parameter based on your current HVAC system and the new system you are considering.
  • Click the "Calculate Savings" button to see the estimated energy and cost savings per kW that you could achieve by upgrading to the new HVAC system.
